Registering to vote (or changing party affiliation) is an EXTREMELY easy process! If you are changing addresses, counties, or states, simply follow the instructions under the heading of "Registering to Vote." If you want to change your party affiliation, follow the instructions under the heading "Changing Party Affiliation."
Registering to Vote in Surry County, North Carolina:
1. Click on the name of the following website: Surry County Board of Elections
2. You will be taken to the website. Following the instructions on the page. You will be able to download the
Voter Registration Form, as well as the instructions from this page--in English or in Spanish.
3. Once downloaded, simply print and complete the form (ensure you sign and date the form) and mail it to
the following address:

4. Allow about four weeks to receive your new Voter Registration Card in the mail. You are now official!
Changing Party Affiliation in Surry County, North Carolina:
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
2. Print and begin filling out the form. When you come to the section for "Party Affiliation," simply check which
Party you want to change to, and then finish filling out the form.
3. Ensure you sign and date the form.
4. Mail the completed form to the following address:

5. Please allow about four weeks to receive your new Voter Registration Card in the mail. You are now the
member of a new Party!
