Governor Beverly Perdue will NOT be seeking re-election. Congressman Brad Miller (a Democrat representing the 13th Congressional District) will not be seeking re-election, either. Looks like some are getting the message loud and clear!

Primary Election to Continue on Schedule
A court panel ruled today that the North Carolina primary election will continue as scheduled, which is Tuesday, May 8!
Registration Update
We are now ahead 41 people in registration, as of January 14, 2012, according to the State Board of Elections' website!! Keep at it, folks!

Republicans Take Over
SURRY COUNTY GOES REPUBLICAN!!!!!!
As of yesterday (December 28), the Republicans in Surry County outnumbered the Democrats...by two people, according to the Surry County Board of Elections!
Not only did a full five-member Board of Commissioners who are all Republicans get elected (in 2010), but we have a majority in Surry County for the first time!
What a way to kick off the new year! The Presidential, Gubernatorial, Lieutenant Gubernatorial, and other offices await in 2012! Let's roll!
